11 July 2009:: DANCE DAYS 2009 PROGRAMME ANNOUNCED!
Dance DAYS is back! The fourth Dance Days festival will take place in Castle Square and in and around the National Waterfront Museum on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July. This year's festival features contemporary dance from the award-winning Motionhouse Dance Theatre, street dance from Montréal based Solid State and UK favourites 2Faced Dance and Sin Cru. You can also see tango direct from Buenos Aires, contemporary tap dance from Barcelona's Tapeplas plus much more from across the UK and homegrown talent from Swansea's community dance groups. As well as live action, the festival will feature a full programme of international dance films, both on the BBC big screen, Castle Square, and inside the National Waterfront Museum. 6 October 2008:: Dance Shorts! at the Taliesin
Dance Shorts!, a taste of new and exciting dance free in the foyer 30 minutes before both Hamlet & Exile Within. (9th October and 7th November.) Dance Shorts! is an opportunity for audiences to see 10 minutes of fresh hot dance from emergent dance artists. Arrive early to catch a stunning new Dance Short that’s sure to whet your appetite for the main event. Open to all, you don’t even need a ticket for the main event, just come along and enjoy. Dance Shorts! is a new commissioning initiative made possible with a grant from the Arts Council of Wales. A partnership between venues and artists, it aims to increase access for audiences to see quality Welsh talent and to provide opportunities for Welsh dance artists to show their work.  More»

This year’s DanceDays promises to be bigger and better than ever. Featuring performances in Castle Square and in and around the National Waterfront Museum, DanceDays 2008 will encompass a wider variety of dance styles than ever before, to give the people of Swansea an entire weekend of free dance performances.
